I live in the south near the mountains. I love it during this time of year. It is truly glorious when you see the fall colors among the Appalachians mountains. It is absolutely breathtaking.

As a small business owner, it is a reminder that we’re into the fourth quarter. As a virtual digital agency it is a time of review.

This is a good time to do your digital marketing audits and begin planning for 2021. Yes, even though the pandemic threw all of us into a loop and things didn’t go quite as expected; do your audit.

If you pivoted back in second or third quarter, you were probably running a hundred miles a minute. This is a good time to take a breather to see if you’re on the right track or make adjustments.

Don’t do it all at once. Make October your audit month. You still have a business to run and life to live.

Perform your digital marketing audit in sections:

  1. Your website
  2. Your email marketing
  3. Your social media
  4. Your email marketing
  5. Your SEO
  6. Your online advertising

Then in November you should be reviewing, dreaming (yes, put down what you wish for), and planning for next year.

December is your implementation and execution month to get January into momentum.
